Some tips on choosing your plants:
I would first think about where you would like to hang your Kokedama. As kokedma plants have limited food and water supply in their little ball they benefit from regular TLC so choose a place where you will see them daily. For our Carnarvon weather I would choose a hanging spot either inside or in a courtyard, away from too much heat and wind. To water them you need to soak the balls so If you have a sunny window above the kitchen sink or in the bathroom these are great places where you can fill up the sink and drop them in overnight.
So with this in mind I find indoor plants ideal and I have had great success with using herbs like mint and oregano. Succulents are also great and plants that hang and creep look great.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
